The Women of Coworking Chronicles continue today. I have the joy of introducing you to Jeannine van der Linden of Kamer52, a coworking space in the Netherlands. Cool, huh. Jeannine is also one of the tireless volunteers that keep the Coworking Wiki in tip top shape.
Jeannine splits her time between Atlanta and the Netherlands where she lives with her family. Her space grew out of her personal need like so many other spaces but with a twist. Her husband missed his homeland so Jeannine agreed to move without a job or even knowing the language. That’s a gutsy gal! We discovered we have a lot in common, including a former legal career. I get the feeling that we’d have a hoot over a beer and BBQ.
Listen to what she has to say about her concept of ‘earned trust’. As a mediator I spend a lot of time thinking about trust and how it gets shaped, stretched and sometimes broken. I’m still noodling how to build trust in my space but I’d love to hear what you’re doing in your space to maintain that delicate thread. Without further ado, here’s Jeannine.
