In this video, Daniel Goleman, who I consider the father of Emotional Intelligence at work, is defining the 3 different types of empathy, when they come into play and why you need a balance of three.
I’ve been known to say repeatedly that acknowledgement is the grease that keeps things moving and the glue that holds us together in tough times. Independent workers- coaches, consultants, virtual assistants, entrepreneurs, we are genetically pre-disposed to be empathetic. It’s in our blood. We can’t help but help.
